Edison Lighthouse was the brainchild of vocalist Tony Burrows. The group’s
lone hit entitled "Love Grows (Where Rosemary Grows)" was one of four
simultaneous U.K. Top Ten records registered by Burrows under different
names.
The band was the alias of songwriters and producers Barry Mason and Tony
McCauley. Greenfield Hammer was also in the band.
Following "Love Grows," Burrows departed in search of other opportunities.
McCauley owned the copyright to the band’s name, and formed another group to
record under the alias. The reincarnation of Edison Lighthouse cracked the
U.K. Top 50 with the single "It’s Up to You" and, then, vanished. |
